During the first few months of operation, newbuilds experience a shakeout period during which unforeseen control systems issues arise. These issues must be classified accurately and resolved quickly in order to avoid costly downtime. Additionally, issues found during Commissioning and Acceptance often remain unresolved.

Our DTA Consultants sail with your rig during initial mobilization and remain on board for the first few months of operation to:

  • Continue to track, and work with vendors to resolve, punch list items found earlier in the newbuild cycle
  • Identify and resolve newfound issues related to control systems software and interfaces
  • Recommend solutions as needed
  • Retest systems as necessary to establish fitness for purpose
  • Deliver an End of Engagement report with all findings and recommendations
